Swords are one of the four main ways to deal damage in the game. The other three ways are Fruits, Fighting Styles, and Guns.
Swords are a weapon classification of up-close-and-personal, melee weapons that can be found and bought everywhere in the Blox Fruits universe. All swords have two unique abilities, and some swords have imbue or skills that originate from their Blox Fruit counterpart (or from somewhere else). Many swords can also be upgraded via the blacksmith NPCs, to do extra damage to enemies.
There are several ways of obtaining Swords, including:
- Buying them from Sword Dealers:
- Sword Dealer
- Sword Dealer of the West and Sword Dealer of the East
- Master Sword Dealer
- Living Skeleton
- Legendary Sword Dealer
- Mysterious Man, if the user has obtained and has mastery on all three Legendary Swords (Wando, Saddi, Shisui) from the Legendary Sword Dealer.
- Thunder God (NPC), if the user has fully awakened Rumble and finishes another Rumble Raid.

Upgrading Recipes: Cannot be UpgradedNotes
- Sword users are unable to harm Chop users due to their passive immunity to swords, even if they use Aura.
- This also applies to Bobby, although he has a 1/3 chance of being hit.
- However, bosses with swords can still damage Chop users because bosses can overcome all immunities.
- Some sword abilities may not be affected by transformation.
- The M1 damage is slightly reduced by Buddha’s transformation, but due to the defense buff of Buddha and increased AoE, this is not a significant issue.

Drop Chance
Contents
Obtain [ ]
Version 1 [ ]
It can be obtained with a 100% drop chance from the Saber Expert, which can only be accessed by doing the Saber Expert Puzzle.
This sword can be upgraded to Saber V2, significantly better than Saber V1.
Version 2 [ ]
- Earn one million Bounty / Honor.
- Player must kill another player with a similar level that also has a million or more than a million Bounty/Honor.
There are no mastery or level requirements.
A message saying «Something weird has occurred to your .» will appear, if done correctly. Note that the appearance of the sword itself will not change at all and neither will the name of the 2 moves. But the moves will look different.
If the player completes all the steps but doesn’t have the sword, a message saying «Something weird has happened, but you lack the required item».
Upgrading [ ]
Grade Materials Effects 1 5 10 10 +15% Damage Moveset [ ]
Overview [ ]
Version 1 [ ]
- Good damage.
- Decent hitbox on the attacks.
- Obtainable as early as level 200, making it a good starter weapon.
- Good for grinding.
- Low mastery requirements.
- [Z] Deadly Rush is a good combo extender.
- [Z] Deadly Rush has decent travel (Better than Saber V2).
Version 2 [ ]
- Extremely high damage on the Z move if it is a critical.
- Every other weapon is (in theory) good with Saber V2, since the combos possible with it are endless, and deal tons of damage.
- It is possible to do a one-shot using just Human’s V3 ability along with the Z and X move, if done right.
- Pretty decent range on the M1 and skills.
- Both moves drain 3 Instinct dodges from the enemy, making it possible to drain a total of 6 Instinct dodges.
- Not too hard to obtain.
- Low mastery requirements.
Version 1 [ ]
- Does not break Instinct.
- The combo possible with the Z and X move has severe end lag.
- Both moves doesn’t have that big of a hitbox, making it easy to avoid.
- Low click damage.
- Below average for PvP.
- [Z] Deadly Rush can be decently hard to hit.
- Unless you have decently good aim, often either one or two of the X move’s slashes miss the target completely.
- Still a Low travel potential compared to other swords such as Yama and Spikey Trident.
Version 2 [ ]
- Like V1, it still doesn’t break Instinct.
- Difficult to hit a critical hit with [Z] Deadly Rush.
- The combo possible with the Z and X move still has severe end lag.
- Lower travel potential than Saber V1.
Trivia [ ]
- This sword was added in the 1st Update.
- [Z] Deadly Rush is a good combo extender so always try to combo with that (for low level).
- Due to its incredible damage, Saber V2 is still considered to be fairly decent sword in PvP in the Second Sea. However, it is recommended that the player upgrade to a better sword as they progress out of the Second Sea and enter the Third Sea.
- You should aim accurately to deal a critical hit on your opponent (V2).
- V2’s [Z] Deadly Rush, used at the perfect distance, has the highest damage out of every sword move in the game, doing over 6600 damage at max sword stats on players and over 8850 damage if upgraded (with accessories that buff sword damage).
- This is one of the best swords for grinding, as its M1 deals high damage, with little to no knockback, and has a low cooldown.
- While this sword can be great for PvP, it can only really work if the opponent is not using Instinct. As this sword doesn’t have any moves that break Instinct, it’s suggested to have another weapon equipped that can break Instinct easily.
- In the level 700-1000 some swords you might consider getting are: Koko, True Triple Katana or Pole (2nd Form).
- Each M1 attack does more than the last (Example: 1700 base damage -> 2350 damage by the fourth swing).
- It is recommended to bounty hunt with Ice or dark along with this, you can pull enemies with dark X move to the critical Z attack range.
- The Saber’s handguard model cuts into the hilt.
- Saber v2 Z is Saber v1 Z + X combined.
