MAX ® S-Series Customized systems

MAX ® S systems are available in Pearl White and Black. The cabinet side panels and doors are attached to a marine spec aluminum frame and can be replaced at any time, allowing renovation or a complete colour change on a functioning aquarium. This feature combined with the replaceable trim on the light and aquarium adds an unprecedented level of longevity and flexibility.

All external surfaces use weather resistant polyurethene paints (similar to those used in the car industry) giving an elegant and durable finish.

Elegance and durability combined

MAX ® S-Series aquariums are constructed from 12 – 15mm ultra clear (low iron) glass supported by saltwater resistant plastics and a marine spec annodized aluminum frame. Designed for simple home assembly, all of the glueing, sawing and wiring has already been done for you.

Reef-safe ReefLED™ 90 lighting

The MAX ® S-Series incorporate the all-new Red Sea ReefLED™ 90 lights which are designed to ensure optimal coral growth and maximum rendition of their vibrant colors.

At the heart of the unit is a compact Led array that provides a reef-safe range of REEF-SPEC light through a single REEF-SPEC Blue (23,000 Kelvin) channel that consists of an optimum combination of ultraviolet, violet and blue LEDs and an 8,000 Kelvin white channel. In addition, it has a separate dedicated 3W Moonlight channel to provide the low levels of light for reef-safe nighttime viewing. The ReefLED includes a single optical-glass, hollow lens that creates a homogenous light giving a dramatic coral coloration and a gentle shimmer throughout the aquarium.

ReefLED is controlled by Red Sea’s ReefBeat ® App which provides a wide range of easy to use functions such as random clouds, acclimation for new installations and a lunar cycle for the moonlights.

The lighting fixture features Red Sea’s unique,mounted lighting chassis that slides across the width of the tank, providing easy access for all aquarium maintenance tasks.

MAX ® S-Series Total Reef Filtration

The complete reef filtration system starts with the surface skimmer that feeds the water to the in-cabinet sump via a flow-regulated, silent flow downpipe. The filtered water is returned to the aquarium by a main system pump that can also supply water to additional filtration systems, an optional chiller and/or reactors.

Connection between the aquarium and sump is via standard union connectors so no plumbing is required.

The MAX ® S-System is supplied with the main system pump, a REEFER Skimme r , mechanical and carbon filtration media and all piping including preparation to connect a chiller and auxiliary reactors.

MAX ® S-Series Integrated Power Center

The MAX ® S-Series filtration system follows the one-plug MAX ® concept and features a power control centre with easy access to 10 individually switched power sockets for all pumps, and other accessories, safety protected with integrated circuit brakers.

1. Surface skimmer

The surface skimmer enables highly effective filtration by ensuring that only water from the aquarium surface is passed to the rear filtration compartment. The surface skimmer is easily removable for periodic cleaning.

NANO Cube dimensions

The compact size of the MAX NANO Cube
allows it to fit nearly anywhere, with an elegant
modern look that adds the right touch to any room.

NANO Peninsula dimensions

The MAX NANO Peninsula is the same
height and width as the MAX NANO Cube,
but its larger depth adds almost 40%
more to the display space.
This additional depth keeps the reef compact,
but provides more room for corals and allows
for more impressive reefscapes.

Ultra-clear glass

MAX NANO aquariums have a rimless design and are made from 8 mm, ultra-clear glass, which provides a superb viewing experience.

Fully equipped rear sump

The complete filtration system is hidden in the rear sump that is topped by a rotatable screen for easy access.

MAX NANO protein skimmer

Fed by a unique surface skimmer that directs the water to a bespoke micron filter sock, the rear sump houses a silenced REEF-SPEC protein skimmer, a 950lph/240gph Sicce return pump and 100g of REEF-SPEC Carbon, to keep the water crystal clear.

The heart of the filtration system is the protein skimmer. The NANO skimmer implements Red Sea’s REEF-SPEC criteria for SPS corals, passing the entire volume of the aquarium water through the skimmer approximately 3 times per hour and with a 3 to 1 water to air ratio.

Automatic top-off

An automatic top-off unit with a 1.5 liter/ 0.4 gal freshwater reservoir (hidden behind the screen above the sump) maintains a constant water level, and is sufficient for approximately 3 days of evaporation.

Circulation pump

The 950 liter per hour Sicce return pump circulates the entire system water volume about 10 times an hour.

Pump power center

The MAX NANOs have a built-in power center with conveniently located on/off switches for the skimmer and circulation pumps, enabling easy access for feeding and maintenance.

Rotatable rear sump screen

The rotatable screen allows easy access to the rear filtration compartment sump, while ensuring that the aquarium’s aesthetics are undistubed.

ReefLED lighting

The MAX NANOs incorporate the ReefBeat-App controlled ReefLED 50 light, to ensure optimal coral growth and coloration.

The ReefLED 50 has a light intensity and spectrum that is 100% utilized by the corals, making it 100% reef safe and 100% REEF-SPEC.
At the heart of the unit is a compact Led array that provides a reef-safe range of REEF-SPEC light through a single REEF-SPEC Blue (23,000 Kelvin) channel that consists of an optimum combination of ultraviolet, violet and blue LEDs and an 9,000 Kelvin white channel. In addition, it has a separate dedicated 3W Moonlight channel to provide the low levels of light for reef-safe nighttime viewing.

ReefLED is controlled by Red Sea’s ReefBeat App, which provides a wide range of easy to use functions such as random clouds, acclimation for new installations, and a lunar cycle for the moonlights.
The custom mounting system attaches firmly onto the rear wall of the tank and can be rotated to the upright position during reef scaping or other tank maintenance. The REEFER™ Peninsula Deluxe comes with a customized hanging system for the ReefLED lights.

Rotatable ReefLED arm

The LED unit is firmly bolted to the aquarium and can be rotated to give easy access to the rear sump for all of regular maintenance requirements or for reefscaping.
